On Friday the 16th of July 2020 at 11 am, Made in the Midlands Member South & City College will be hosting a webinar to talk through the developments of the recent ‘Summer Statement’ by the Chancellor, and what they mean for Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Young People.

Speaking about the event, Rebecca Waterfield, the Head of Employee Engagement at the college said, “In the Summer Statement a range of incentives was announced for employers to take on apprentices, young people and trainees, which include a potential grant of £3,000 for taking on 16-18-year-old apprentices and wages support for taking on people aged between 16 and 24.

There were a lot of welcomed opportunities to support employers in taking on apprentices, young people and trainees; however, the underlying rules and eligibility criteria are still to come.”
