Director of leading Midlands technology firm confirmed as speaker for Productivity talk for SMEs.

Darren Jones of Sonihull Ultrasonic which recently picked up King’s Award for Enterprise to speak at regional event for businesses.

 

The first speaker has been announced for next month’s productivity talk being held to help businesses thrive by unlocking productivity.

Darren Jones, Environment and Sustainability Director of award winning Sonihull Ultrasonic will be one of the key speakers sharing his knowledge at the free to attend event called ‘Productivity or Bust: Why productivity is vital for SMEs to survive’.

Mr Jones, who is also Chair of Environment, Transport and Infrastructure for the Centre for the New Midlands think tank, and is the past president of Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, will be focussing on why an individual's productivity can have a knock-on effect upon a business’ efficiency and regional growth.

Speaking about the event, he said: “I’m thrilled to have been invited to talk and it is a subject I am incredibly passionate about. Productivity from an individual within a business can have a huge impact on it not just surviving but thriving - which is paramount in the current economic climate. So I’ll be able to share my knowledge on Continuous Improvement and how it can help businesses in the West Midlands unlock their potential.

“I look forward to meeting everyone who comes along to the morning and sharing my knowledge, and for the invaluable networking opportunities that we will have before and after the event,” he added.

The talk is being held by Continuous Improvement training provider click2 learn which has teamed up with South & City College Birmingham.

Sonihull Ultrasonic, which is based in Coventry, recently received the Kings Award for Enterprise as it was recognised for its outstanding achievement in International Trade - and was one of just 78 in the UK to receive the accolade.

The event, which will be MC’ed by award-winning event host and BBC broadcaster Dave Sharpe is being held at South & City College’s Longbridge Campus on Wednesday, May 17 and will run between 8.30am and 11.30am.
